Join us for an afternoon full of entertainment, paired with tastings of Sushi & Sake from some of our local restaurants.

The festival is aimed towards bringing awareness to Kelowna's unique sister city agreement in Kasugai, Japan. Over 6 performances are lined up to let you experience some of the culture. Sake/ spirits and Sushi tastings will be paired with this entertainment from several local restaurants.

Ticket includes afternoon of entertainment with 10 tokens for Sushi &/or Sake.
Extra tokens will be sold at event for $2 for those wanting more tastings.

Japanese entertainment throughout the event will include:
• Japanese Folk Dance from Nishikawa-ryu School (9 dance performers)
• Yamabiko Taiko Drumming (Large Japanese Drums)
• Traditional fashion show
• Samisen and Percussion (3 string styled guitar music)
• Shakuhachi and Calligraphy (Bamboo flute music with traditional and modern Calligraphy)
• Speech from City of Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran
• Video greeting from Mayor Ito of Kasugai, Japan

Did you know that Kelowna has a sister city twinning with Kasugai, Japan? Curious what the Kasugai Japanese Gardens in downtown Kelowna are all about? We are hoping to raise awareness about our sister city and it's Kelowna association with an afternoon of great entertainment paired with excellent tastings of food and beverages.

The space has a limited capacity - buy your tickets ahead of time!

Tickets are $30 plus fees.
