Who are we?

The Kelowna Jaycees are a group of young male professionals and entrepreneurs, ages 18-40 that strives to grow as individuals while positively impacting our community, Kelowna, BC. Established in 1935, the Kelowna Jaycees have a rich history and are one of the city's oldest professional groups.
We are focused on personal development and leadership by taking on local projects and events, and by participating in training and network opportunities. Our unit promotes fun and camaraderie throughout these activities.

Junior Chamber International (JCI)?

The Kelowna Jaycees and our members are affiliated with Junior Chamber International, a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs. JCI Canada is a national organization with approximately 35 chapters/units active in communities from coast to coast. It is Canada's premier leadership development organization. As part of JCI Canada, our members are exposed to national and international opportunities.

Connection to the KKSCA

The Jaycees played a key role in the formation of the KKSCA. With the vision and hard efforts from Kasugai's Jaycee, Yukoh Nagase to Kelowna's Ken Gilbank and Andy Griffin, a strong foundation was formed for the ties between our two cities. Even after 30 years, the relationship of the Jaycees between Kelowna and Kasugai remain strong. Past delegations have proved to be meaningful, both culturally and commercially.

The Kelowna Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Kelowna was founded in 1928 and has a long and proud history of community and international service. We meet at the Coast Capri Hotel for a wonderful buffet luncheon every Tuesday at noon.
The comprehensive nature of our involvement extends from the provision of affordable housing to low-income Kelowna residents to the establishment of safe water sources in Asia and Africa. Leveraging our efforts through Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation, we are able to achieve great results here in Kelowna and around the world.

Rotary International
